- When the Buyer selects a precut log wall component package from Seller and It is pressure treated after manufacturing with our ClearTreat (Sodium Borate) wood preservative process for above ground use, these treated components will be warranted by Seller to be free from structural damage caused by decay, termites and wood borers (wood digesting Insects) for a period of five (5) years starting from date of delivery. It is a condition of this warranty that the Buyer shall construct/assemble the precut log wall components as designed on a permanent foundation with the completed permanent roof structure and roofing and shall apply an initial application of an exterior wood stain/sealer (according to the manufacturer's specifications) to the exterior of the precut log wall components within six (6) months after date of shipment or the log wall decay and insect damage warranty will become void.
- The original Buyer can extend this warranty up to 25-Years by reapplication of the stain/sealer at necessary intervals to maintain the water repellent qualities of the exterior stain/sealer as described and recommended by the manufacturer of the stain/sealer product the Buyer chooses. The Log Wall Decay and Damage Warranty described above is NOT applicable to any part of the Appalachian Log Structures* Naturalog (non-pressure treated) component packages.
The warranty does not apply to any Appalachian Log Structures' wood materials that are not part of the precut log wall components pressure treated by seller after manufacturing
